Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A search widget may receive the words or details you enter when you choose to use it. The widget is supplied by an outside provider, so the provider's own privacy terms explain what it stores and how it uses a query. Do not enter information you do not want that provider to receive.
Messages and Contact Submissions
This reference has no form for submitting a message to its operator. When you follow a listed email or phone link, you contact the government office shown, such as the Sterling County JP or clerk. That office handles the information under its own rules. A request to a public body may be subject to the Texas Public Information Act and other law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Like other websites, the server or its service providers may record technical details such as a browser type, device information, pages requested, and the time of a visit. Those logs can help keep the site available and identify basic technical problems. This site does not control every record kept by a hosting or advertising provider.
Cookies and Analytics
The browser may store cookies or similar data if the site or a service connected to it uses them. Browser settings can limit cookies, though some features may then work differently. Any analytics or advertising service sets its own collection rules; consult that provider for its current details.
What We Do With This Data
Information may be used to load pages, keep basic site functions working, review aggregate use, and respond to a technical issue. The reference does not use a search entry to decide a person's legal status. A query sent to an outside search partner may be handled by that partner under its policy.
The Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, concerns access to records held by Texas governmental bodies. A request to Sterling County should identify an existing record and the office believed to hold it. It is not a privacy request to this private website. See the Texas statute and the Attorney General's instructions.
No Warrant Data on File
This website does not host Sterling County warrant lists, case files, or Sheriff's process data. It describes official contact routes and links to public sources. A query typed into an outside widget is not sent to the county simply because the topic concerns warrants.
For a current status, contact the issuing court or Sheriff. The site's web logs do not establish whether a person has a warrant.
Third-Party Search Partners
The search band may show sponsored results from a separate provider. That provider may collect a query, charge a fee, or use its own cookies. Sterling County Warrant Records does not control the vendor's systems or promise the accuracy of its results.
Read the provider's privacy notice before sending personal information. For a Sterling County court record, use the relevant official clerk, JP, or Sheriff route instead.
Links to Other Websites
Links lead to public offices and outside resources, including Sterling County, Sterling City, Texas courts, DPS, and the Attorney General. After leaving this site, the destination's privacy rules apply. Check the address bar and the destination's notice before sending data or making a payment.
Who Might See Your Data
Site operators and service providers may see technical logs needed to host the pages. A search partner may receive information entered into its widget. A public office receives information only when you contact it or submit a request to that office.
Texas Government Code Chapter 552 applies to qualifying public information held by governmental bodies, subject to exceptions. The Sterling County Clerk's public recording fee page does not describe a criminal-search fee. Ask the office about the record and any charge before sending a request.
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable technical and administrative measures may be used to protect site operations. No internet transfer or storage method can be promised completely secure. Do not use an outside search box to send sensitive details unless you have reviewed the provider's terms.
Users Under 18
This reference is intended for adults seeking civic and court-process information. Do not submit a child's identifying details through a general search tool. Texas Family Code ยง58.010 makes a child's arrest warrant and its supporting complaint or affidavit confidential, subject to specific statutory access rules.
Read the Texas Family Code Chapter 58 for the state confidentiality rule.
Your Data Rights
If you entered information into an outside search service, direct questions about access, deletion, or use to that provider. This reference does not have access to the provider's account system or to county records. For a record held by Sterling County, send a written request to the governmental body that maintains it under the Texas Public Information Act.
The Attorney General says requests may be delivered by mail, email, hand delivery, or another method approved by the body. The body generally need not create a new record or answer a legal question. Its public request guidance explains the process.
Updates to This Policy
Privacy practices or connected services may change as the site is maintained. The version posted here applies once it appears. Check this section from time to time, and review any outside provider's notice separately before using its service.
