Need Official Warrant Information?
Start with the office that matches the case. These contacts are from the current Sterling County pages and the 2026 Justice Court letter. The Sheriff page does not publish warrant-unit hours, a 24-hour line, or walk-in surrender instructions. Ask what information can be released and which court controls the process.

The courthouse main line is 325-378-3481. Its published hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Justice Court and clerk office hours differ slightly, so use their own contact blocks above.
For a district case, the 51st District Court lists its criminal coordinator and says court coordinators are available by email only. The official court page has that instruction. Do not assume it offers a warrant hotline or walk-in status service.
Sterling City Hall is at 508 3rd Street and can answer city-government questions. The city says it has no municipal court and directs traffic matters to the county JP. City Hall is not a documented warrant or bond counter. For a traffic matter, use the Justice Court's citation number instructions before paying.
When calling, have your own citation or cause number ready. Ask which court issued the process, what action is required, whether payment affects warrant status, and what written proof will show a recall or next court date.
